I am not quite sure if I am ahead of the game or behind on the trends, but I am currently obsessed with copper! I have always been a gold lover especially when it comes to accents on a table but I think copper is moving in on gold’s territory. The last two tables I have done have had this as more than a supporting player and I don’t think it is a guest appearance. With Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur 10 days apart, there is a lot to be done, especially when you want to impress with each table. I went with two different color schemes but they both utilized copper and had a fun fall flair without being your traditional color combinations. This first one is a great example, I don’t think I would have put these colors together before, but I love how they worked!
The linen for this table was navy and I knew I wanted copper chargers. While I would have loved to snag the ones that I found on Amazon, I just didn’t feel like the $10 each price tag really fit within my budget. Some day, Michelle, some day. I still wanted the impact so I turned to my trusty friend, spray paint. I have a couple dozen chargers already and one can of copper spray paint made all the difference and helped keep my dream alive while also helping me avoid major side eye from my husband.
I ran into a similar problem when it came to vases, I could not find anything in copper and the few times I did, the price was astronomical. So who was there for me again? You guessed it! While at the wholesale flower store, I grabbed these cute rectangular clear glass vases and gave them a coat of the good stuff and my copper dreams were becoming an reality. I filled them up with the most beautiful flowers and they were quite the centerpiece.
The accent color in this table was certainly the lavender, I love how it played off the copper and navy and added a bright element that you wouldn’t expect. The flowers and the napkins did a great job of tying it all together and really finishing off the table.
Truthfully, I don’t have a favorite part of this table, I love pretty much everything which makes sense that it is one of my top three favorite tables I have ever created. What is your favorite part? Let me know in the comments below! I will leave you with this gorgeous round loaf of carb loveliness.
