Personalized tumblers are certainly a thing right now. They make great gifts, especially because you can make them fit the recipient perfectly. That was the idea behind this on that my husband asked me to make for his co-worker. They all talked about it and of course he said “my wife could make one”. It’s true. Plus I most certainly would have offered as well so I didn’t. I will be honest though, this is cup number two. The stainless steel version didn’t work as well as I thought it would so I went back to these double walled plastic versions that never disappoint. All my husband said was she liked mermaids, which resulted in this:
I love to layer vinyl in many situations, but when it comes to cups, I liked to keep it all a single layer so that it lasts as long as possible. Sometimes when you have things layered, you risk peeling and I never want that to happen on a gift so after a number of designs, I settled on this version which is a little wider but fun anyways. I love love love love love (did I mention love?) this newer Cricut adhesive foils. It was really hard to narrow it down so I got a multi-pack from Joanns. You may be seeing this on a few more projects in the future. The heat transfer version is equally as amazing. Look at the shine on that mermaid tail!
If you like the way I designed it, you can click HERE and it will take you to my canvas in Cricut Design Space. Since I used all Cricut images, I can share it with you and all you have to do is log in and cut! I have the subscription so if you do as well then it is free, just choose your vinyl and get to stickin’!
What would you put on a tumbler? I bought and extra one so I would love to hear your ideas in the comments below!
