We are halfway through summer vacation and it is nice to have a break but I know that this is the calm before the storm and the fall is going to be CRAZY! That is why I am using my extra time to plan as much as possible and get organized so I can control some of the chaos. One of my many roles is troop leader for my daughter’s Girl Scout Troop, last year was my first year and I learned a lot. One of the main things was just how many patches there are to keep track of and our plastic sandwich bag system from last year just wasn’t cutting it! I have tons of these plastic craft organizers around and a little vinyl and I have a cute way to organize all our patches!
The best part of this project is that if you have a Cricut Explore you can just click HERE and I have already designed the whole project and all you have to do is just cut all your vinyl. This is a great project to use up scraps because all the petals are pretty small which is helpful because of how many colors there are. If you didn’t want to have to go out and buy all the vinyl, you could just print the white background and color in with permanent markers but I do think the vinyl pops a bit more. Once everything was cut out I put transfer tape on the words and weeded out all the extra vinyl on everything, it just took a few minutes. Then I could get started applying all the vinyl, first I started with the white background.
Then I added the dark blue rectangle.
And last I just added the words on top of their shadow and all the daisy petals, you can look up online or on your nearest Girl Scout vest to find the order.
Inside all the petals fit perfectly as well as plenty of extra space for pins, fun patches and other necessities.
I love how it came out! It is going to be as helpful as it is cute and keep an eye out because we have a split level troop next year and there will probably be a Brownie version of this to share soon as well!
