Tell me how many times you have been there, you are relaxing on the couch when your phone dings. Ugh, another email invitation to another party in your kid’s class. It isn’t the party that is the challenge, it is the gift! It isn’t always easy to figure out the perfect gift that fits within your budget and doesn’t go overboard for one friend but not as much for another and so on. That is why I learned pretty quickly (mostly from more experienced mommy friends) that each year, I decide upon one gender neutral gift and give the same thing to everyone in the class. Everyone is even and I know exactly what I am putting together for each party. This idea I learned from a friend and is one of the best, plus you can personalize it for either a boy or girl just by the gift bag and card! Can you gather that this child is an ©2015 MARVEL Avengers fan?!
Are you ready to learn about what is inside? It is simple! I grabbed a bunch of pictures I have taken and other moms have take off various social media accounts and put together an 8×10 collage and had it sent to Walmart 1 hour photo. The best part is I can do this the night before, the morning of or in bulk (why not print off a bunch at once and just have them on hand?!). Then, when I go to Walmart to pick it up, I grab a frame (easily under $4) and head to the card aisle to get a bag and card.
There are so many to chose from that you are sure to find exactly what the child is into!
In this case I had to go with a ©2015 MARVEL Avengers Hallmark card and Avery helped pick it out so of course she chose the one with the stickers inside. Naturally.
When it came to the bag, I found these sweet “Birthday in a Bag” all in one bag, card and tissue paper also from Hallmark. Avery was committed to the card she chose but I still got this kit because I can put the extra ©2015 MARVEL Avengers card in my stash for the next birthday and I loved the little card pocket and that it had the tissue included. How convenient!
Once I had all the supplies, all I had to do was pop the collage in the frame, the frame in the bag with the tissue paper and have Avery sign the card!
Truthfully, if you were really in a pinch, you could put this together in the car… not that I have ever had to do that… Anyways, I always look for extra opportunities for Avery to practice writing so I have her sign the front of the card too.
There you go, a super affordable (around $10 for the whole thing, card and bag included) and quick (comes together in like 5 minutes) gift idea that is great for boys and girls, just chose their favorite character from the collection of options from Hallmark!
Let’s just take another look at how easy this ©2015 MARVEL Avengers gift idea comes together:
What is your go to gift for kids birthday parties??
