Alright y’all, I went back to work this week. I am back teaching preschool full time and as much as I am bummed about not being home with Avery, I am happy to be working with such a great group of kids during the day. For the summer, the preschool has a set list of themes for each week (I don’t work under preplanned themes during the school year) so I got to gathering some ideas and it turned into an epic list that I thought I would share with all of you! I need to share a couple of things however, I don’t by any stretch of the imagination think I will actually do every single activity on this list each week. There are just too many but that is because I am an over planner by nature. I really prefer to have many options so I can choose what I think the particular group of children will enjoy most. Also, some kids only come 2 or 3 days each week so that is even less time. All that being said, this list includes over 200 art, craft, sensory, outdoor and building projects under 10 themes. That should get you through the entire summer!
- Mixed Media
- Red, White & Blue
- Flowers & Gardening
- Ocean Animals
- & Disney’s FROZEN!
I hope you like all the ideas! I have shared this as a PDF so that you can click through to the links of all the posts. The blogger where the post can be found after the title of the activity.
Now, most of the ideas are self explanatory OR come from bloggers with links. There are however, 3 additional resources that I used to put together this plan and I would like to share those below:
I am sure that you have heard about this book, I don’t you how you could have missed it! This wonderful compilation of activites comes to you from Holly Homer and Rachel Miller of KidsActiviesBlog.com and it is seriously a must have for anyone with children in their lives. I highly recommend it!
This is a super fun book containing a number of, not surprisingly, awesome science experiments! I love the pictures and all the activities and this is something I could see both me and Wade using with Avery.
This is something that I put together last year and in this post, I thought I would just let you download it for FREE! What do you think about that?! This is just a post FULL of ideas!!
