This is a sponsored post apart of the Disney Super Buddies campaign, but all ideas and opinions are my own.
It is days like this that I really think I have the best job ever. Not only do I get to hang out with my family, but I get hooked up with an awesome movie to preview on our family movie night!
In home movie nights are some of our favorite family activities because we can all get together, make a fun party and snacks to go along with the movie and relax for the night.
With Super Buddies, from the creators of Disney Buddies,it was no different! It was perfect for the whole family and in honor of our super hero main characters, we got in the spirit and had a puppy preview party!
Plus it was pretty cool to be able to give everything to our own dogs after the movie was over, they didn’t mind!
It was a lot of fun to put together and Avery got quite the kick out of putting food in dog bowls and setting the table with all kinds of ‘silly’ place settings.
We set up everything on our coffee table so that it was near us for the movie, I started with a black table cloth and some shelf liner as a base. Then we picked up a bunch of dog bowls in a couple different sizes. The big ones held the snacks for the movies and the little ones held smaller snacks and served as our own personal dishes to munch from during the movie. We also got Avery a doggy bed to sit in during the movie that she was then kind enough to share with the dogs.
The cups were so much fun, maybe Avery’s favorite because not only was there a fun twirly straw, but my husband got the best idea to put little dog toys around the bottom to get them in theme! Also, do you see the ‘napkin’ to the right? It is a piddle pad! Actually perfect to put over a preschooler’s lap during a movie because it caught all the mess, fabulous. I may do that during all movies, puppy related or not.
We had the usual popcorn (kettle and regular), then some pretzels and other crackers that the family is a fan of but the best part was the lemon puppy chow and the chocolate candies that looked like dog food- so much fun!
Avery had a blast watching Super Buddies, she was enthralled the whole time, but the best part was that me and Wade enjoyed it too! I totally recommend this for your next movie night, it is hilarious and has jokes for the whole family, but make sure you are ready for an epic tail! Good news for you, it was released on DVD and Blue Ray combo pack yesterday, August 27th! So go get it! And then grab some doggy bowls, toys and piddle pads and have your own puppy preview party!
Here are some more great ideas!
