I have been talking to a lot of the parents at the school and many of them are hitting that mid-summer slump where the kids are getting restless and us moms have run out of ideas!
It also just so happened that this week was ‘camping week’ at the preschool and the activity I put together for the kids would work great for any backyard!
I asked all our parents that had tents to bring them in for the day and we set them up on our grassy area. It wasn’t until the last minute that I thought we could grab some logs off of the playground and make a sweet little circle around the campfire. For the record, I made our campfire out of tissue paper and paper towel rolls in approximately 3 minutes.
The kids had a blast we all joined together to have snack and then they got to run in and out and play in their little tent city. They had a blast!
It didn’t take much work and it is sure to provide an afternoon (or maybe longer) of fun!
