Today I am sharing with you an idea for any of the wine lovers in your life!
One of my custom craft classes was a wine theme and the projects we worked on would make an amazing present!
Each person made a set of 6 wine glasses (you could make whatever number) and a chalkboard cheese plate.
Here are a set of glasses one of the girls at the party made, love the glitter!!
And the chalkboard cheese plate (mine is holding glitter, which is fitting because I don’t like cheese lol).
They are both super simple to make and the best part? The supplies all come from the dollar store!!
YUP!! These giant wine glasses, the plate and the candlestick are all from the dollar store and I just filled in with my own Mod Podge, gloss glaze, spray paint and chalkboard paint.
For the glasses, you want to tape off your design, my sample for the party was a simple stripe.
Then add the Mod Podge.
And a whole bunch of glitter.
Take the tape off while it is wet and then let it dry completely. Then add a layer of Triple Thick Gloss Glaze over the glitter to protect it, and ensure it doesn’t “shed” on any unsuspecting person holding the glass.
The cheese plate was equally as simple to finish.
I traced and cut out a circle of contact paper and put it in the center of the plate. I cut a slit in the middle to make it easy to peel off later.
Then paint a layer of the chalkboard paint, it needs two coats for full coverage, but the contact paper needs to be taken off while it is wet so keep that in mind.
While that dries, spray paint the candle stick. Once everything is dry, you can glue the base to the plate with E600 and you are done!!
What a great gift and everyone will be so excited to get it as a gift!!
