But it wasn’t until today that I figured out a great way to store it and solve a problem, all at the same time.
Here is what I am talking about:
First, I had it on these little shelves with my puff paints and such but they kept falling.
Then I tried a mason jar which was of course adorable, because it is a mason jar and baker’s twine, but I wanted something a little more…ocd.
Then I was thinking about this shelf I have had in the craft area for a while with a bar on the underside. It looked so empty and I knew I had to figure out a way to hang the twine from there for two reasons; to use the otherwise wasted space, and create a more
ocd useful way to store the twine.
Here is what I came up with, I had already put the twine on these floss card things that I got a whole set of 24 for a couple of dollars. They have little holes on the top to be put together on a ring, that is the ticket.
I cut a piece of baker’s twine off the role.
Knotted it and then put it through the hole and then through itself.
Then slipped it the card with the twine through the knotted loop and around the dowel in the shelf and done! (The picture makes much more sense than that sorry sentence description does..I hope anyways.)
I liked it so I did all the rest of the cards the same way.
And then hung them up, in color order, of course. Interestingly enough, my ocd pertains to the color order and not an equal length all the way across. I apparently like to confuse people.
I love it!!!
Make sure you stop by the party later tonight because there just may be a chance for YOU to win your own sampler pack from the Twinery… and by “may”, I mean there will be a chance. Just sayin’.
