Tangled Birthday Party!!

One of the most annoying thing ever is forgetting something you really needed when you get somewhere.

Like, say the memory card for your camera…when you get to a birthday party you helped with all of the decorations for…

AN-NOY-ING

But I had my phone, and instagram, so they both helped me out. I am going to piece that together with some tutorial pictures to share the fun Tangled party I helped my friend with for her daughter’s 2nd and 4th birthdays.

She had the party at a fun little kid play place that is kind of like if Starbucks and Playtown had a baby. So, it has a enclosed indoor and outdoor play space and it serves fancy coffee drinks. Pretty cool but I didn’t get to do a full on buffet, I did make a lot of little things for her though!

On of my favorites was the castle centerpieces:

Those started with a lot of pieces cut from the Cricut into fabulous glittery paper.

Then I put them all together.

Once they were all standing, I used some awesome chargers I had in the garage and cut a piece of batting to fit on top, then placed the castle on that.

I added hot glue and then pillow fluff to the batting around and inside the castle to look like a cloud

I felt that it still needed something so I grabbed 4 long pieces of yarn, tied them in a knot at one end and put it through one of the windows. Then I wrapped it all the way around the base for Rapunzel’s hair.

Picture heavy post y’all.

I also made some simple yarn braids to put on the bar, I made two with pieces I cut to 10 feet each and two with pieces that were cut to 6 feet each. There were at least 75 pieces of yarn for each braid. After they were done, I hot glued some flowers and rhinestones all over.

Next were the party hats, I used THIS tutorial that I shared for the hats for Avery’s first birthday.

To make the sun, I found an image, copied it to a word document to change the size and printed it out. Then I staple it to some thick card stock and used a razor to cut out the image to make a stencil. Then all I had to do was grab some paint and get moving!

Here was a quick picture of the invite, a little castle with an embroidery floss strand of hair and rhinestones.

Random picture of Avery.

Last were the party favors, they were a make-and-take magic wand craft along with a fun Disney puzzle.

I made the wands and for these I used dowels spray painted silver and cut to 6″. I grabbed a 20 pack for a dollar at the craft store and cut them in half. Yellow ribbon was cut to 4″ and I cut enough for 2 per wand. I also cut out lavender stars, two per wand.

I hot glued the ribbon onto a star (this is for two wands, not just one).

Then hot glued the silver dowel in between the pieces of yarn. Then I just had to hot glue a blank star on top, the favor had stickers and rhinestones to decorate it.

I think that is it! It was such a fun party!!
